![]() Seymour Omnis's version of Ultima is different from most Ultima spells in Final Fantasy X. When he uses Ultima, it is increased again, but only to 150. Seymour will no longer banish aeons like he did in the previous two encounters, and remarks that even his mother opposes him if Yuna summons Anima.Īlthough Seymour Omnis's Defense is initially 180, it is reduced to 100 whenever he casts Dispel. Multiple counterattacks can occur during a single one of Seymour Omnis's turns, so long as his spells deal damage or are blocked by Nul-spells. Counterattacks and reflected spells count towards Seymour being attacked. Once Seymour Omnis falls below 20,000 HP, he will do this after only three attacks. He then rotates the Mortiphasms so that all four match the next element listed above, and continues with his previous strategy. He will cast Dispel on the party, and on his next turn cast Ultima that can potentially exceed 4,000 damage. Once Seymour Omnis is attacked six times, he will glow red, indicating his change of strategy. One matching disc halves damage Seymour takes from the corresponding element. Two matching discs immunize Seymour to the corresponding element.Three matching discs allow Seymour to absorb the corresponding element.Four matching discs allow Seymour to absorb the corresponding element, but render him weak to the opposing element. The Mortiphasms govern Seymour Omnis's elemental attributes: The spells' strength is also determined by how many of the same color are facing Seymour: if 1~2 elements are aligned, Seymour will cast -ra spells of those elements, and if 3~4 elements are aligned, he will cast -ga spells. The spells used are determined by which colored section on each disc is closest to Seymour: orange for fire-elemental, purple for ice-elemental, blue for water-elemental, and yellow for lightning-elemental. ![]() On his turn, he will cast four elemental spells in succession on the player party, targeting each party member once and a random party member for the fourth spell if any party members are KO'd, Seymour will only cast 2~3 spells. ![]() Seymour Omnis hovers in front of four large discs called Mortiphasms. Remember that shattered characters are ejected from the battle, which means they receive no AP, plus you will be reduced to only two characters for the rest of the battle.Fira, Thundara, Blizzara, Watera, Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga, Waterga, Dispel, Ultima Battle So, you will want to make sure you can get a turn order in which Seymour and Mortibody go back-to-back. This, in itself, is not too bad, but Mortibody will begin using Shattering Claw on its turns, which can shatter a petrified character. Seymour will begin using Break here, which will petrify a character. First and foremost, Seymour will cast Protect on himself. ![]() Once Seymour’s HP dips below 24,000, he will enter the second phase of the fight, which has the potential to be a very dangerous phase. You can’t use NulElement here, since that would trigger Desperado, so you will just have to bear the brunt of the damage and use someone like Al Bhed Potions to heal. Since you can’t use Shell on everyone, you will have to put it on your two weakest (magic defense-wise) characters. The first phase is the elemental one, where the Mortibody will use the first tier of spells (Blizzard, Thunder, Water and Fire, in that order) that hits all characters, and Seymour will use the Multi version of the second tier, meaning he will cast two times. The fight will take place in three phases, all of which are based around Seymour’s HP value. The first thing you should do in the fight is do the Trigger Commands, as Auron and Tidus will both gain Strength, while Yuna will get Magic Defense. If you have Yuna’s Overdrive full, you can use Grand Summon to have the Aeon use their Overdrive before it is Banished you might also just have the Aeon’s Overdrive already filled. You also won’t be able to use Aeons in this battle for a prolonged period, as Seymour will use Banish on the turn right after the Aeon’s. This is a small chance if there’s four buffs, which increases as you put more. What’s even more is that if there are four or more buffs that include Haste, Shell, Reflect and any of the Nul spells, then there’s a chance Mortibody will use Desperado on its turn. To add fuel to the fire, you will have to be careful with buffs in this battle, as if all three characters have the same buff, then Mortibody will use Desperado to deal damage and remove all of your buffs. After doing it once, the maximum HP it has will decrease by 1,000 and it will continue doing this throughout the entire party, with 1,000 HP being the minimum it will have. It starts out with 4,000 HP and upon depleting that, it will siphon HP from Seymour. He is accompanied by an enemy called Mortibody, which will always be present during the fight. The battle against Seymour here is a bit more complicated when compared to others thus far.
